Initializing Ultra Planning Mode


A week from today I will be back at Walt Disney World! And it’ll be the first time that I’ll be there without my kids (not including all the times that I went before I ever had kids). I am SUPER excited about that! I know some people who are all “I feel so bad that I’m not taking my kid(s)…” But me…I’m all “Woooo hooooo! Without the kids!” And I’m dancing and smiling and high-fiving strangers on the street. Does that make me a bad mom? Uhhh…no!

I’ll admit, I haven’t been hiding my excitement from my 2 boys, but don’t feel bad for them. They cared for about 1 minute until they realized I’ll only be there for 2 days. Well 3 technically, but I leave so early on Sunday that I don’t count that day. Anyway, both of them keep saying “You’re not even gonna be there long enough to do lots of stuff.” Oh really?? Challenge accepted!

I was already going to try to do some of my favorites during my short stay, but now I’ve made it my mission to cram as much as possible into my weekend! Without my kids, I can get a lot more done and not worry about if I can get them up and going on time. I’m still keeping in mind that I have the 5k run Saturday night, but considering that I go a minimum of 4 miles after a 10 hour work day, I’m not too worried. It could end up being a big fail…or it could be the best short Disney trip I’ll ever have!

Now I have even more planning to do….and only a week to do it! Ultra planning mode: Activated!
