My cat just woke me up at almost 1a.m. Now I’ll be awake for at least an hour. My body has a special relationship with being awake between 1 and 3a.m. Several months ago I would easily stay up til about 1 or 2a.m. Or if I went to bed at a decent hour I’d end up waking up at around 2 and then not be able to go back to sleep. I actually enjoyed my insomnia. For whatever weird reason I function better and feel more energetic when I sleep less at night.
Ever since I’ve been running on a regular basis, my insomnia has improved and I sleep a lot more. And it’s a lot harder for me to get out of bed in the morning. I’m just not a morning person. Well, unless I’m at Walt Disney World. I want to sleep as little as possible while I’m at Disney. There’s just so much that I want to do while I’m there, and sleeping just gets in the way.
I leave in about 8 days for the Expedition Everest Challenge, and I haven’t even started packing! In fact, this trip is the least planned Disney World trip that I’ve ever taken. Crap…I wish I wasn’t thinking about this right now cuz now I’m certain to stay awake for more than an hour. I think after I post this random, pointless post, I’ll go get my suitcase out and throw some things in it that I know I’ll be taking for race weekend.
My cat has decided that since she woke me up, it’s now time for her to settle in and go to sleep…I think I’ll go run around and jump on her bed and pat her face until she wakes up and see how she likes it.
