Day 2- Part 2

inside_tsmSo if you read my post Disney Traditions and Day 2 of My Trip, then you remember that me and boys were making our way to Toy Story Mania to use our Fastpasses. If you didn’t read the post, click HERE to read part one of Day 2 or to read Day 1, click HERE. That seems slightly confusing, but you guys are following along, I can tell! 🙂

Day 2- Part 2 We hit the Fastpass Return line at Toy Story Mania at the perfect time! There was no one ahead of us in line! Woo hoo! I love when that happens! Once we were shuffled in to the line with the existing Standy By people, it was less than 5 minutes until we got on to a ride vehicle.  I told Zadrin that I knew he was gonna smoke me and Zethan with his score on this ride. He always does. I like to get that out in the open so that he doesn’t brag about how awesome he is compared to me and Zethan. I also warned him that I looked up the scoring tips for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom and he was soooooo going down when we rode that! He laughed at me….you’ll hear about the outcome of that on Day 4!

The Toy Story Mania ride was great! I’ve never gotten over 83,000 points on this game, but this time I had a little over 104,000! Yay! Zethan sat next to me and he beat me with almost 106,000 points, but as expected, Zadrin blew us out of the water with over 200,000 points. Pfft!! I’ll beat him one day…or not. Once we left the ride, I took some random pictures that I knew I didn’t have. (This trip, I didn’t take that many pictures because I have so many of the same stuff year after year.)

With the first three rides crossed off of our Must Do list, there was only a few more things that we decided we would do before heading back to our room for rest and relaxation time. I used the My Disney Experience app on my phone to check the wait for Star Tours, and it was posted as 20 minutes so we made our way to get in line. We’ve only been on the newest version of Star Tours about 4 times, but somehow we always got the same ride adventure. There’s supposed to be something like over 50 possible combinations for the ride, but somehow we’ve gotten 2 exactly the same and the other 2 were some of the same scenes just in different orders. I was super excited that we got some different scenes this time! Yep, the little things make me happy!

After Star Tours, we had a quick family huddle and determined that we would eat lunch at Pizza Planet, but none of us was quite ready to eat. Plus, it was just shy of 11:00 and Pizza Planet wasn’t even open yet. We walked around a bit and me and Zadrin decided to go ahead and get in line for The Great Movie Ride. Zethan said this ride was too boring and he didn’t want to ride it, so once again we found a place for him to sit and wait for us. This isn’t my favorite ride, but I love movies and so I still enjoy riding it. Zadrin remembered that there’s a Gangster scene and a Cowboy scene that the Cast Member interacts with and I guess the Gangster scene is his favorite because as we continued passed the area where that scene would have started, he said, “Ahhh, I guess we’re getting the Cowboy scene.” After we got done here, we met Zethan at his waiting place and headed to Pizza Planet. We made a last minute decision to go ahead and get the ice cream first.

I like to try to eat lunch at about 11 or 11:30 because we can get ahead of some of the lunch crowd, but Pizza Planet is pretty popular with the quick service crowd (apparently) and so by the time we got there, it was around 11:30 and the line to order was out the door. I helped the boys find a table and they ate the rest of their ice cream while I went to stand in line. This was probably the longest line that I waited in all week! It was about 35 minutes from the time I got in the order line until I sat down at the table with the boys to eat. Oh well! They had a meat lovers pizza on the menu this year, so I tried that just to almost walk on the wild side with my food choice. Hee hee!!

Once we were done with our lunch, we talked about what other attractions and shows there were at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and decided that the only other thing we wanted to do this time was the Lights, Motor, Action Stunt Show. I don’t know if it’s really going to be replaced by Carsland in  the future, but we LOVE that show! So we did a bit of sight seeing then went to get seated for the show. We loved the stunt show, as usual. I also like the Indiana Jones show, but we decided it was time to head back to the room. I wanted to relax a bit before our night time plans!
