Getting Back on Track

I didn’t post my Cheat Day last Sunday nor did I post the next installment of my November 2022 trip report this week. I had a stressful holiday weekend that spilled over into the days that followed. And it wasn’t stressful in that I’ve-got-so-much-to-do-and-things-are-super-busy kind of way, rather it was stressful because the temperatures here in my little Texas town got down to 9 degrees or so and my water pipes froze on December 22nd. When everything thawed on Christmas Eve, a burst pipe showed itself and my front yard became a lake. Luckily, there was no water leaking inside the house, but I had no running water to use.

I rent my home, and to make the proverbial long story short, the landlord only sent someone to turn off the water on Christmas Eve and no one would come fix the pipes until I talked to someone in the corporate office (in Michigan) on Wednesday, five days later. So I was stressed about that entire situation. No running water for 6 full days and management not bothering to contact me to explain why they weren’t fixing it caused me quite the setback in my ever-challenging journey to control my depression and anxiety.

Now that I’ve gotten over that bump in the road, I’m working on getting back on track with my blog as well as my YouTube channel. I really wish I could visit Disney World next month, but it’s just not in the cards for me right now. First world problem…I know, but going to Walt Disney World always makes me feel better when I’m dealing with too much at home.

Anywho, I’ll be back with Cheat Day on Sunday, and the trip report on Tuesday! I hope to see you there! °O°
