When Disney announced that they would no longer provide complimentary MagicBands for stays at Walt Disney World resort hotels beginning January 2021, I didn’t care that much. Like many other people, I have all of the colors they offered when the bands were complimentary and though I like to collect MagicBands, I just really don’t need a new one for every trip. In January, I just took a couple of the bands that I already had and didn’t even look at ordering a new one on the Disney World website. I’d told myself that if I decided I really wanted a solid black band (which didn’t used to be offered at all as a color I could select for my reservation), I’d just pick one up while I was in the parks. I didn’t bother to buy the black MagicBand when I was in the parks in January.

This evening I was discussing my upcoming trip at the end of this month that I’m taking with my cousin and her wife, and I ended up going to look at the MagicBand options since I have until the 15th to purchase a band to have ready for this trip. I honestly had no intention of buying one because every time I’ve checked in the past, black wasn’t an option, but I decided to look anyway.

Now that I’ve taken the time to look at the options, I see that several of the solid colors that I want are available for $5 on the Disney World website.

I’m not even sure how long these have been available since I didn’t bother to check before my January trip. And now I want more than one color but I can only order one MagicBand for myself at the $5 price. Actually, I can order another Annual Passholder MagicBand too so I can at least get 2 of the colors I want. Then I guess I’ll have to order another one for my June trip and any other trip I might take this year. If you’re laughing at me or even judging me for how I’m trying to figure out how to get all of the colors I want for $5 each, it’s cool. My Disney World obsession has grown far past the point of caring if people judge me or laugh at me for the weird things I do for Disney.

I know I want the white, blush pink, and black. But the olive green and mint green ones are calling my name too.

Welp, I guess I’ll be getting a few more MagicBands after all. Send help! Just kidding, I’ll just reject your help and buy more bands anyway. 🤦🏽‍♀️ #sorrynotsorry °O°
