It’s been one of those days where I start telling myself that I should move to the Orlando area. Truth be told, I just think I need to move to a city where there are more opportunities for me, but something in my Disney Addicted mind keeps whispering, “If you move to the Orlando area, you’ll be able to go to Disney World ALL THE TIME!!”And really, why wouldn’t I want to do that?! I don’t see myself getting tired of going to Disney World any time in the next several thousand years.
Fortunately, there’s still a small part of my mind that is able to be the voice of reason. I know people who have successfully moved to the Orlando area and they love being able to visit the parks more often, but the common theme is often that they had to settle for a low paying job or it took them a long time to find a decent to good job. I can’t go off moving all willy nilly on my single mom income.
I keep having this conversation with myself, “You can do this!”
“Uh, no you can’t…”
“Come on, take a chance!”
“It’s too risky…”
“You can handle it!”
“I really shouldn’t…”
“DO IT!!”
“No!”
“YES!”
“NOOOO!!!”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!”
“You’re right! I can do this! I’m gonna do more research and start planning a move!”
Then after a few hours of researching places to live, jobs, the Florida school system, etc….I tell myself, “Nope, not gonna happen any time soon.” And just like that, I win my own argument…with myself.
I admit that the thought of moving anywhere makes me nervous, but I can’t help thinking that the Orlando area is where I’ll ultimately end up once I get the courage to get out of this little Texas town… Guess only time will tell!
See Ya Real Soon!
