Real Life…I Think

Ok, so I haven’t posted to my blog for a few weeks now. “Really? We had no idea!” you say? I’m sure that’s quite possibly true, but pretend you are super excited that I’m finally posting! 🙂

Anywho, real life has taken a front seat for the past few weeks and I’ve got a few things in the works that I’m crossing my fingers will pan out! It’s some real life stuff, with a twist of magic and dreams. So is that still considered real life? Just in case, send your Pixie Dust and prayers please (and thank you)! But just to recap, I want to back track and discuss my favorite moments that I didn’t post about at the time that they were happening.

First of all, there’s that teenager that was denied entry to Animal Kingdom because she was dressed as Tinkerbell. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, you can read the full story HERE. But in a nutshell, a 15 year old girl and her boyfriend dressed as Tinkerbell and Peter Pan for their visit to the Walt Disney World parks. The girl was told she had to change when she went to Animal Kingdom (although she apparently had been allowed to enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios without a problem) and heartbreak ensued. Disney’s own web site states that “adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character” are not acceptable forms of theme park attire and “may result in refusal of admittance.”  I get why Disney doesn’t allow this, and I also see how a 15 year old girl would be upset that she couldn’t wear her costume after planning and supposedly spending 2 hours on the makeup for said costume. But I really hope she way over exaggerated that time estimate for her makeup, because it just doesn’t look like 2 hours worth of makeup…

Next, CARSLAND OPENED at Disneyland! <Insert my Cabbage Patch style dance here> I am so excited about this that I am considering going to Disneyland in California for my next Disney trip instead of WDW! My 9 year old was speechless when I showed him all of the photos and info about Carsland, but he’s not happy that it’s not also at Disney World. He wanted to be able to ride Radiator Springs Racers and Test Track in the same trip. Yep, that would be awesome, but alas, it is not meant to be. Eh, what can ya do?

There was something else I was gonna discuss as the 3rd thing…but I’ve been distracted doing other stuff while writing this post and now I forgot what it was. Score another one for my adult A.D.D. Oh well, when I remember I’ll just make it into another post!

Now I’m off to do some more real life-ish stuff.

See Ya Real Soon!
