Obsession, as defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary, is “ a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often unreasonable idea or feeling; broadly : compelling motivation.”

Hmmm, I frequently get labelled as being obsessed with Walt Disney World. I’ve even answered a confident “Yes!” when asked if I was obsessed with WDW. Let’s see…..persistent preoccupation….CHECK!  Disturbing…..unreasonable?? Heck no! I’m just a huge fan of all things Disney and Disney World related, much in the same way as someone is a huge fan of a sports team or a celebrity. As for the compelling motivation part, well I can agree with that 100%. Many of my day to day activities are motivated by my love of being at Walt Disney World! I admit I work extra hours and do several extra activities in order to have more than enough for my family’s yearly visit to Florida. I spend any free time, or even not so free time, on Disney related forums and groups so that I can have conversations with people who love Disney as much as I do. It’s great to communicate with people who “get” my obsession. For me, it’s all Disney, all the time! If that means that I’m obsessed, well so be it!
